Olympian Shiann Salmon says the newly formed Grand Slam Track is a financial dream for athletes.
The Olympian competed as a challenger at the first ever staging in Kingston last weekend.
She finished sixth in the 400 metres hurdles in 55.89 seconds and 4th in the 400 metres in 52.25 seconds at the first leg of the of the series at the National Stadium.
She says the reward was not as lucrative when she ran a personal best 52.97 seconds in the 400 metres hurdles to win her first Diamond League race.
She says despite the event coming early in the season, the competition is fierce.
Salmon hopes to compete at the second leg of the series at the Ansin Sports Complex in Miami, from May 2 to May 4.
