Only One PNP MP Attended Pre-Launch of Rural School Bus Programme – Vaz

Transport Minister, Daryl Vaz, says only one Opposition Member of Parliament has attended the pre-launch meetings for the Rural School Bus Programme.

Minister Vaz was made the statement while speaking on Cliff Hughes Online on Friday.

The government’s Rural School Bus Programme, set to be launched in September, has been met with criticism by the opposition.

PNP Leader, Mark Golding, described the buses as “old,” while Opposition Senator, Peter Bunting, told PNP supporters that the buses would “kill off poor people pickney dem.”

Minister Vaz says Mr. Golding has also failed to attend any of the pre-launch meetings for the programme.

According to him, the lack of attendance by rural Opposition MPs is either a boycott or proof of their lack of concern for their constituents.

Meanwhile, Minister Vaz also called out Opposition Leader Mark Golding, for not attending the launch of the rural school programme or other landmark events in Jamaica.
