The opposition People’s National Party, PNP, is set to stage a peaceful protest in Old Harbour square at about 8 Wednesday morning to register their disgust with the appointment of Dennis Chung as chief technical director at the Financial Investigations Division, FID.
PNP president, Mark Golding, says the opposition will not relent in its efforts to have Chung removed from the post.
Wednesday’s planned event is set to be the second public demonstration organised by the PNP on this issue.
The first occurred last Monday in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service at National Heroes Circle in Kingston.
Mark Golding says the Dennis Chung issue is not the only ill-affecting the country under this Holness administration.
