Orange Walk Drug Trafficking Bust Leads to Multiple Arrests

Meanwhile, police in the Orange Walk District have arrested and charged a group of individuals in connection with a suspected drug trafficking operation uncovered in one of the district’s villages. The arrests reportedly followed a police operation during which authorities allegedly discovered a quantity of suspected drugs along with other items believed to be connected to drug distribution activities.  Investigators say the individuals were subsequently detained and later formally charged with drug trafficking offenses as police continue their crackdown on narcotics activity across the country.  Today, Police Staff Officer, ASP Stacy Smith, provided further details on the operation and the charges brought against the accused.

Police say investigations into the matter remain ongoing.
