Orange Walk Seniors Honoured at Annual Patriotic Appreciation Party

Senior citizens in Orange Walk Town were treated to an afternoon of food, celebration and appreciation during the annual Patriotic Appreciation Party held at the HelpAge office on Thursday. Officers from the Orange Walk Community Oriented Policing Unit joined Prime Minister John Briceño and his wife, Rossana Briceño, along with Mayor Ladrick Sheppard and members of the Orange Walk Town Council for the event.  Sergeant Romero and Police Constables Vasquez, Morey and Muniz spent part of the afternoon serving the seniors and taking part in the activities.  The annual gathering recognises older Belizeans for the part they have played in building the country. It also gives police officers and community leaders a chance to connect with senior citizens in a relaxed setting during the September celebrations.
