Oscar Ponce Fined for Crack Pipe and Cocaine in Belize City

Sixty-one-year-old Oscar Ponce appeared in court today and pleaded guilty to two drug-related charges after being found with a crack pipe and an undetermined amount of crack cocaine. Ponce was fined $150 for possession of drug paraphernalia, due by August 29, 2025, or face two weeks in prison. He also received a $100 fine for the crack cocaine, due by September 30, 2025. Police found the items during a patrol in Taylor’s Alley yesterday, June 19. Ponce, who has prior drug convictions, told the court he uses the drug as “medication” for pain related to his work and a skin condition. He declined rehabilitation, stating he had tried it previously.
