Chief Executive Officer of Professional Football Jamaica Limited (PFJL), Owen Hill, tendered his resignation this morning, just two days after the start of the 2025/2026 Jamaica Premier League (JPL) season.

In a letter addressed to the chairman and the board of the PFJL, Hill announced his decision to step down from his role, citing the need for growth and change.

Hill’s final day in office will be on September 26, 2025.

“I write to formally tender my resignation as Chief Executive Officer, effective 30 days from today,” he wrote.

Hill was appointed CEO of the PFJL in September 2022, and handled the day-to-day operations of the JPL and its commercial viability.

His resignation comes just days after the start of the new season and just two months after PFJL chairman Chris Williams announced he would be stepping down come the end of August.
