Pakistan reached 143 for 4 at stumps on a rain shortened first day of the opening Test against the West Indies at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Saud Shakeel, 56, and Muhammad Rizwan, 51, are the not batsmen. Both share a 97-run fifth wicket stand.

Captain Shan Masood, 11, Mohammad Huraira, 6, Babar Azam, 8, and Kamran Ghulam, 5, are the batsmen back in the pavilion.

Jayden Seales took three wickets for 21 runs and Gudakesh Motie picked up the other wicket.

Seales says his plan was simple going into the match.

He says winning the toss was important to their early successes.
