Pan Yaad Lights Up Government House With Steelpan and Caribbean Culture

The historic Government House compound came alive on Saturday night for Pan Yaad, the country’s largest steelpan showcase. The annual September celebrations event featured energetic performances from Belize’s leading steel bands and school groups, along with a debut performance by elite musicians from Trinidad and Tobago. This year’s event also introduced a foam party, adding a new twist to an evening filled with soca, punta, Afrobeats and Belizean pride. Reporter Emogene Herrera has the story.
