ANDREW PEART, Glenmuir High School’s daCosta Cup head coach and head of Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) Coaching Education, has been appointed to the Concacaf Coach Education Panel (CEP).
Peart, who stands as one of the growing number of local coaches to attain an A Licence, has served as the head of Coaching Eduction at the JFF for the past four years.
He believes with his new role at the Concacaf CEP, he can further his work of developing coaching education across the entire region
“I am deeply honoured to be appointed to the Concacaf Coach Education Panel and would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all the persons who would have supported me on the journey,” he said.
“As a member of the Concacaf Coach Education Panel, I have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of coaches across our region. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow panel members and working closely with member associations to elevate coaching standards across Concacaf.”
GROUP OF TECHNICAL EXPERTS
The Concacaf CEP is a group of technical experts responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the Concacaf Coaching Convention.
The convention stands as the region’s regulatory framework for establishing minimum standards in coach education across the North American, Central American, and the Caribbean member associations.
Peart’s appointment has been lauded by Concacaf president and FIFA vice president, Victor Montagliani, as a ‘well-deserved’ achievement.
“Coach education is one of the most powerful investments we can make in the future of football in our region,” Montagliani said.
“We congratulate Andrew Peart on this well-deserved appointment and look forward to his valuable contributions in advancing coach education and shaping the next generation of football leaders across the region.”
As a part of his first duties with the CEP, Peart joined a group including panel members and technical leaders at the 2025 Concacaf Coach Education Panel Workshop and Meeting, held in Kingston last month.
Concacaf Chief Football Development Officer Jason Roberts praised the role of the convention and its workshops and welcomed Peart’s appointment to the board.
“The Concacaf Coaching Convention plays a vital role in driving the professionalisation of coaching across our region, and gatherings like this Coach Education Panel Workshop are essential to that mission,” he said.
“We are proud to welcome a new cohort of panel members whose expertise will strengthen the development structures within our member associations.”
Members of the CEP serve two-year teams upon their appointments and are selected based on the progress demonstrated by their respective member associations.
