Petrojam Won’t Be Impacted by US Tariff on Imports – Managing Director

Managing director of Petrojam, Telroy Morgan, says the of state-owned oil refinery will not be impacted by the 10 per cent universal tariff on imports into the US.

Petrojam has, in the past, exported dehydrated ethanol, heavy fuel oil and bitumen to the US. But this has not occurred for several years.

However, Mr Morgan notes that the 25 per cent tariff on all steel and aluminium imports, which was announced in early March, have caused price increases in equipment for the refinery.
