PG Hospitality Workers Earn AHLEI Guest Service Gold Training Certification

The Belize Tourism Board’s ongoing Hospitality Sprint Series has made its latest stop in Punta Gorda, where seventeen hospitality professionals successfully completed the AHLEI Guest Service Gold Training with a 100 percent pass rate. The training, facilitated by Certified Hospitality Trainer Tanigi Palacio, is part of a wider national rollout aimed at strengthening customer service standards across Belize’s tourism industry. The Guest Service Gold program equips participants with essential skills in guest interaction, service recovery, and professionalism, all aimed at improving the overall visitor experience. The Punta Gorda session adds to a growing list of successful trainings held across the country, including recent stops in Belize City and Caye Caulker, where similarly high pass rates were recorded as part of the same Hospitality Sprint Series initiative. The program is delivered through a partnership between the Belize Tourism Board’s Elevate Training Institute and the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute, allowing internationally recognized certification to be made more accessible to tourism workers nationwide. The initiative continues to expand Belize’s network of certified hospitality professionals, with upcoming trainings scheduled for Placencia and Orange Walk in July.
