Opposition spokesman on Transport, Mikael Phillips is criticising Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness for the promise of free transport for students for two months.

He was speaking at a PNP meeting in Porus, Manchester on Wednesday.

During the JLP’s mass rally in Half Way Tree, St Andrew on Sunday, Prime Minister Holness announced that students will be able to ride free on all JUTC buses for the months of September and October.

It applies to primary and high school students, as well as tertiary students with IDs.

Phillips reaffirmed the PNP’s transport plan for students while taking a jab at Transport Minister, Daryl Vaz.

Meanwhile, Phillips says he will beat the JLP’s Damion Young by a bigger margin than in 2020.
