Playing time the main reason for Richards’ Wimbledon move

Phoenix Sports Management CEO Craig Butler says Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards’ season-long loan move from English Premier League (EPL) club Chelsea to League One outfit AFC Wimbledon was the best available option to secure regular playing time for the Jamaican prodigy. Richards joined Chelsea in January 2024 and featured for the club’s under-18 and under-21 teams. During his first season at the club, he suffered a serious knee injury just a few months into his Chelsea career and spent the remainder of the campaign on the sidelines.
