The Office of the Prime Minister has announced that Prime Minister John Briceño departed the country yesterday to proceed on personal leave. According to the release, the Prime Minister is scheduled to return to Belize on Sunday, January 18. During his absence, Francis Fonseca, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Education, Culture, Science and Technology, has been appointed to act as Prime Minister.
