PM: Gov’t Will Focus on Boosting ‘Local’ Economy in Third Term

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness says among the areas of focus in a third term for his government will be the development of a so-called ‘local economy’.

He was speaking to constituents at a campaign rally in South East Clarendon on Sunday. South East Clarendon is represented in parliament by Pearnel Charles Jr.

According to the prime minister, his government has proven itself as good economic stewards over the past nine years.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Holness is warning Labourites against complacency as anticipation builds about the date for the next general election.

And Prime Minister Holness says the administration is taking steps to establish an aircraft maintenance facility in Vernamfield, Clarendon.
