Prime Minister, Dr. Andrew Holness is warning criminals apparently intent on causing disruption in Central Kingston during the political campaign season that they will be brought to justice.

He gave the warning during a tour of the area on Thursday.

The tour, which the party says was planned sometime ago, followed a shooting incident in the constituency two days earlier.

On Tuesday evening, MP Donovan Williams was among a group of people who came under gunfire while erecting campaign signs in the constituency.

The incident happened at the intersection of South Camp Road and Tower Street in a section of Parade Gardens popularly known as Southside.

Tuesday’s shooting followed an incident in July, in which a JLP political rally was disrupted by gunfire.

The police reported that that incident did not appear to be politically motivated.

Prime Minister Holness says the perpetrators will be caught.

Dr. Holness told constituents that the JLP’s message is one of peace and love.

He says however, that the party will not be intimidated.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Holness is criticising the messaging of the Opposition PNP on the campaign trail.

According to Dr. Holness, the rhetoric stems from aggression.

In the meantime, Prime Minister Holness says the Central Kingston constituency is slated for further urban renewal efforts.
