The opposition People’s National Party, PNP, says it condemns the recent shooting incident in the Central Kingston constituency.
The PNP says it is relieved that no one was injured and affirms that violence of any kind has no place in national life, especially during a period of political activity.
However, according to the PNP, it has information indicating that the incident was due to ongoing gang conflict and had nothing to do with partisan politics.
General Secretary, Dr. Dayton Campbell says the PNP rejects any attempt to falsely frame the incident as a politically targeted attack.
