The Opposition PNP has intensified its election campaign with the launch of their ‘Jamaica Time Come Islandwide Road Tour.’

The tour, which kicked off today, Friday, will see PNP officials journeying to various town centres and sharing the party’s message with voters.

General Secretary Dr. Dayton Campbell, says the bus tour is the penultimate push in the party’s election drive.

The general election is due by the end of the year.

The PNP is seeking to form the next government, having spent two consecutive elections as the Opposition party.

PNP President, Mark Golding, says the road tour is about listening, connecting, and bringing a message of hope and change to every corner of this island.

Dr. Campbell says each stop will feature the voices of caretakers selected to represent the various constituencies.

The first stop of the tour was in West Rural St. Andrew, where caretaker, Joan Gordon Webley, welcomed the team and addressed the crowd.

According to her, the people of West Rural St. Andrew have suffered from poor representation for far too long.

She says “the time has come for real leadership, real accountability, and real development, and the PNP is ready to deliver that.”
