Member of Parliament for Central Kingston, Donovan Williams, says the People’s National Party, PNP, lost the constituency in the 2020 general election because of its constant neglect of residents.
He was speaking at a Young Jamaica meeting in the constituency on Sunday.
The PNP controlled Central Kingston between 1949 and 2020.
But the JLP took it in 2020, with Williams defeating Imani Duncan Price by 303 votes.
In January, Retired Senior Superintendent of Police, Steve McGregor, was installed as the PNP’s caretaker who will challenge Williams in the 2025 polls.
According to MP Williams, Central Kingston is now benefiting from multiple initiatives, thanks to the Jamaica Labour Party.
