Opposition Senator Donna Scott Mottley is suggesting the current state of Jamaica’s judiciary raises questions about the country’s capacity to have a local final appellate court.

During her State of the Nation Debate contribution on Friday, Senator Scott Mottley slammed the government for its stubborn refusal to back the Caribbean Court of Justice, CCJ.

Senator Scott Motley highlighted the dire conditions of Jamaica’s local courts.

She warns the government can’t seriously entertain a local appellate jurisdiction amid such decay.
