Point Fortin Desal Plant returned to full production

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is confirming that the Point Fortin Desalination Plant has returned to full production.

This follows the cutback earlier today to 4.38 million gallons per day, from the usual 5.5 million gallons per day, due to high levels of algae bloom at the intake of the facility.

WASA also added that every effort is being made to normalize water supply to affected customers, in the shortest time possible.
