Police Adopt a Child Initiative Supports Corozal Students With School Supplies

Two students of Church of Christ Primary School in Corozal have received new school bags through an “Adopt a Child” initiative led by the Belize Police Department.  Senior Superintendent Alejandro Cowo, Regional Commander for the Northern Districts, personally donated the bags during a presentation at the school this morning. He was joined by community policing personnel, the school’s principal, Mr. Chan, and the students’ parents.  Cowo also committed to serving as a mentor to both children, offering continued guidance and support throughout their education.  The department says officers can contribute to safer communities not only through law enforcement, but also by serving as positive role models and supporting children in need.
