Police are seeking the public’s urgent assistance in locating 73-year-old Gregory Caprietta, who has been reported missing after last being seen nearly a week ago.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Caprietta, of Arima, was last seen last Monday. His disappearance was reported to the Arima Police Station on Sunday, July 5, prompting officers to launch a search.
Police described Caprietta as being of mixed descent, standing five feet, eight inches tall, with a light brown complexion and short grey hair.
He was last seen wearing a white shirt, a pair of long blue jeans and a bandage on his right foot.
Investigators have not disclosed the circumstances surrounding his disappearance but are urging anyone with information that could assist in locating him to contact the authorities immediately.
The TTPS is asking anyone who has seen Caprietta since June 29 or who knows of his whereabouts to call the Arima Police Station at 667-3563.
Information can also be provided anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS. Members of the public may also reach the police by dialling 555, 999 or 911, or by reporting information to the nearest police station.
Police are urging members of the public not to dismiss any information that may help investigators, noting that even seemingly minor details could prove significant in efforts to locate the missing man.
Search efforts are continuing as investigators work to determine Caprietta’s whereabouts and reunite him safely with his family. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact the police without delay.
