Police Boost Fleet With 10 Pickups and Five ATVs

In other news out of the department, police have been equipped with ten Isuzu D-Max pickup trucks and five all-terrain vehicles in the approximately three months since Julius Espat took over as interim minister. The additions provide more transportation for officers conducting patrols and responding to reports. Love News understands that one of the five ATVs has been deployed to San Pedro, while the other four are stationed in Belize City.  The pickups arrived in two batches. The first five, announced in July, were assigned to the Benque Viejo Formation, the Roaring Creek Quick Response Team, the Orange Walk Crimes Investigation Branch, the Corozal Formation and the Violence Prevention and Enforcement Unit.  Another five pickups were handed over on September 4. Two were assigned to the Cayo District, two to the Belize District and one to the Southern Region.
