The Police Department called a press briefing earlier this afternoon to provide no updates to families whose loved ones have been murdered. In fact, Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero made it clear by saying “That there are no updates to the 45 murders being investigated.”
What he provided was sparce details on minor accidents and the brazen Friday afternoon UNO gas station robbery during which the manager was held up at gunpoint and relieved of some $50,000.

ACP Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division: “Upon arrival a complainant, Eric Chi, the manager, reported that he was going towards his vehicle to make a deposit when he was approached by a male person who pulled out the firearm and he was held up. He was then thrown to the floor. Another male person then approached who was on a motorcycle. They both robbed him of a large quantity of cash. Thereafter they got on a motorcycle and drove off. We are seeking two suspects. We have information that they were at a parking lot beside a gas station waiting. And when this manager came out, he was attacked.”
