Police Exploring Possible Link Between Punta Gorda Murders and Missing Canadian

While Police are exploring multiple leads in the double murder in Punta Gorda, one linkage that they are reportedly looking at has to do with the missing Canadian national, Alfred Pleil.  ASP Stacy Smith would not give much context, but here is how she spoke on this matter.

Stacy Smith, Assistant Superintendent of Police: “As it relates to the investigation pertaining to Mr. Pliel, I must advise that it’s an ongoing investigation. During the course of that investigation, police had uncovered several items of interest and had detained several persons in the course of the investigation.”

Meanwhile, the Cattle Landing Village Chairperson spoke with our senior Toledo Correspondent, Paul Mahung.  According to the chairman, they have not given up in their search for Pleil.

Community Member: “I just want to inform each and everyone in this community and around that we have not given up on Mr. Alfred, a well-known person who had been living in our community for the past 20 to 25 years. He has almost become a brother to us, a friend, and even the lifestyle he choose, he was a very nice, humble and kindhearted person that have been assisting many unfortunate and fortunate people in this community.”

Pliel has been missing for about two weeks.
