Police are investigating an armed robbery at the 24/7 Gas Station last night, during which a police inspector fired shots after the fleeing robbers. According to the police report, two men on a motorcycle approached pump attendants Michael Valdez and Aurora Torez around eight-forty p.m. The attendants reported that the men held them at gunpoint with what appeared to be a nine-millimetre pistol and demanded their money. The robbers reportedly took between two hundred and three hundred dollars before speeding off. Inspector Morris Castillo told responding officers that he was inside the store making a purchase when the robbery happened. He said that after realizing what was taking place, he drew his licensed nine-millimetre pistol and fired about eight shots after the robbers. The report does not indicate whether anyone was injured.
