Police Intensify Search for Missing Belmopan Woman as Investigation Deepens

Police have now intensified their search for missing Belmopan resident Deborah Arthurs, as the investigation enters a critical phase with mounting concern from both authorities and family members. 28-year-old Arthurs, a call center employee and mother of one, has been missing since Friday, March 27. She was last seen shortly after one in the afternoon in front of La Popular Bakery in Belize City, where witnesses reported seeing her enter a silver Chevy Equinox before disappearing.  Tonight, Love News understands that police have already exhausted significant hours and resources in an effort to locate Arthurs, conducting extensive searches across multiple locations. Investigators have also impounded several vehicles matching the description of the SUV seen at the time of her disappearance, as they continue to pursue multiple leads.  Sources tell us that Arthurs’ social circle has become a key focus of the investigation. We understand that her friendships extended across individuals who were not necessarily on good terms with each other, prompting police to follow several lines of inquiry as they work to piece together her final movements.  Meanwhile, the search on the ground continues. Earlier today, family members carried out their own search effort along the John Smith Road area, but that effort ended without any success.  When contacted by Love News, one of Arthurs’ siblings declined to comment or participate in an interview.  Relatives have previously indicated that they are bracing for the worst, saying they are no longer expecting to find Deborah alive, but are hoping for closure through the recovery of her body.  Family members say her disappearance is completely out of character. They explained that while Arthurs would occasionally go out, she always maintained contact with her loved ones. On the day she went missing, she had reportedly traveled to Belize City to drop off her son at the water taxi terminal for a visit to San Pedro and was expected to return home shortly after.  To date, however, she remains missing.
