Police Make Little Headway in Sarita Deliverymen Double Murder

Police say they are yet to gain any significant ground in the investigation into last week’s double murder involving two Sarita deliverymen.  The victims, identified as Raynard Garbutt and Alexander Crawford, were found dead with gunshot wounds after a local farmer discovered their abandoned delivery truck. Police have reported that the truck’s cash container had been emptied, raising concerns that robbery may have been a motive.  Authorities say they are still working to reconstruct the sequence of events leading up to the killings, but so far, information remains limited.  Assistant Superintendent Stacy Smith told reporters that investigators are carefully reviewing and analyzing all available evidence as they work toward identifying and apprehending those responsible.

Stacy Smith, Assistant Superintendent of Police: “As it relates to the investigation pertaining to the employees of Saritas Recinos, whilst we have made some advancement in terms of the investigation, all I would like to add at this point is that the information that has been received are being meticulously reviewed and we urge persons to continue to come forward with information in relation to this investigation.”

Police have not disclosed how much money, if any, was stolen, and no arrests have been made at this time.
