Police have provided an official update into the deaths of Michael Williams and Delisha Estrada, whose badly decomposed bodies were discovered inside their Santa Elena Town home yesterday morning. The couple was found on a bed inside a pink bungalow in the Hillview area, near the basketball court. Initial reports pointed to a possible murder-suicide amid allegations that the couple had been involved in frequent domestic disputes. A note was also reportedly recovered from inside the residence, but its contents were not immediately disclosed. Following post-mortem examinations and further investigation, police say they have established the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero provides the official findings.
Hilberto Romero, Assistant Commissioner of Police: “Yesterday morning around 9:30 am police were called to a house in the Hillview era of Santa Elena. Police forcibly opened the house and upon entering they discovered the partly decomposed bodies of two persons. They were identified as Delicia Estrada and Michael Williams. Information is that both persons were last seen on Saturday and thereafter they had not been seen. When they did not pick up their child, families became concerned, they checked the house and there was when the bodies were discovered. The doctor visited the scene and made an analysis. At this time we are awaiting the post-mortem examinations to determine the cause of death. We cannot fully state at this time until the conclusion of the post-mortem. Yes, we have several reports made of domestic violence made by the female. Family members became concerned when they did not go for the child, they went to the house and that is where they smelt something and they called for the police. Some items were found in the house we are reviewing those items and thereafter tests will be done and we will have a more comprehensive report when those are done.”
