Police Recover Two Firearms Possibly Linked to Castle Street Murder

Hours after James’ murder, Police Precinct Three officers conducting routine early morning patrols made a significant discovery in an abandoned building on Victoria Street.  At around 3:30 a.m., officers found a black Glock 19 pistol, loaded with 17 live rounds, neatly hidden under a tabletop stove placed in nearby bushes. A further search uncovered a second firearm, a Para Ordnance .45 caliber pistol, wrapped in a grey shirt inside a plastic bag tied to a concrete wall.  Given the close proximity to the Castle Street shooting, investigators believe the firearms may be linked to James’ killing. Both weapons and all ammunition are undergoing scientific comparison against evidence recovered from the murder scene.
