Police seek public’s help to find missing Laventille man

Police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating 25-year-old Mayfan Claircin, who has been reported missing.

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Claircin, of Eastern Quarry, Laventille, was last seen on July 17. His disappearance was reported to the Besson Street Police Station two days later, on July 19.

Police said Claircin is of African descent, about five feet, ten inches tall, of medium build and dark brown complexion.

He was last seen wearing a black hat, a black jersey, blue and grey jeans and a pair of black and white slippers.

The TTPS is urging anyone with information that could assist investigators in locating Claircin to contact the Besson Street Police Station at 623-1395.

Members of the public can also provide information anonymously by calling 800-TIPS. Reports may also be made through the police emergency numbers 555, 999 or 911, or at any police station across the country.

Police are encouraging anyone who may have seen Claircin since July 17 or who knows of his whereabouts to come forward as efforts continue to locate him safely.

The TTPS said any information, no matter how minor it may seem, could prove vital to the investigation.
