Police Spread Holiday Cheer With Christmas Outreach Across Belize

The Belize Police Department wrapped up a series of Christmas outreach activities across the country, bringing holiday cheer to the children of police officers and to less fortunate families in several communities.  In Orange Walk, a children’s Christmas party was held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Banquitas, where children of police officers enjoyed a festive afternoon filled with food, snacks, ice cream, goodie bags, and presents. The event was organised to create a joyful and memorable experience for the children while recognising the sacrifices and support of police families.  Meanwhile on Ambergris Caye, the San Pedro Police Department partnered with SLK Xclusive to host a special community outreach activity for less fortunate children on the island. More than 400 toys were distributed, allowing hundreds of children to experience the joy of the Christmas season. In addition to the toy giveaway, young boys also received free haircuts, helping them feel cared for and confident.  The initiative highlighted strong cooperation between the private sector and the police, demonstrating a shared commitment to community development and positive youth engagement in San Pedro.  Further south, the Intermediate Police Formation hosted its own Christmas party on Thursday, December 18, for the children of police officers from the Bella Vista and Santa Cruz areas. The celebration featured fun activities, treats, and a special appearance by Santa Claus, who delighted the children with gifts and added to the festive atmosphere.  Police officials say the series of events reflect the Department’s commitment to community engagement, family support, and fostering positive relationships with children during the holiday season, ensuring that the spirit of Christmas was shared across Belize.
