Police stays in Outdoor hockey title race

Police Service blanked Fatima 4-0 to stay in the Men’s Open Division of the T&T Hockey Board (TTHB) Outdoor Seven-A-Side League title race at the National Hockey Centre in Tacarigua on Sunday.

The quartet of Jordan Reynos (8th), Kevin Joseph (13th), Caleb Giuseppi (17th), and Cameron Anderson (22nd) were all on target to lead Police to a straightforward 4-0 blanking of Fatima.

The win lifted unbeaten Police to 31 points from 13 matches, one behind fellow unbeaten team, Queen’s Park Cricket Club (QPCC) I who have a match in hand while Defence Force is up to third with 26 points from 13 matches following a 2-o defeat of Paragon.

For the Defence Force, Shaquille Daniel scored the opening goal in the 12th and Tariq Singh added the other, seven minutes later.

Malvern is also up to 26 points from 13 matches, after trouncing Queen’s Park Cricket Club II, 4-0 led by two goals from Tariq Marcano in the 15th, and 17th minutes with Jovan Wren (22nd), and Rene Mohammed (24th) adding second-half items.
