Police Step Up Community Outreach in Bella Vista and Dangriga

Police formations in Bella Vista and Dangriga have continued their weekly community outreach initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation between officers and residents.  In Bella Vista, Inspector W. Usher led officers on a Meet and Greet operation in the village’s central area today. Residents discussed community safety concerns, which police documented for follow-up, and welcomed the continued presence of officers in the area.  Meanwhile, Dangriga police visited Chico Ramos Street and Rivers Estate. The operation was led by Deputy Commander of the Stann Creek Police Formation, Inspector B. Alvarez, along with officers from the Prosecution Branch, Community-Oriented Policing Unit and Traffic Department.  Residents of Chico Ramos Street described their neighbourhood as peaceful and said the community does not tolerate criminal or disorderly conduct.  At Rivers Estate, residents raised several concerns and discussed possible solutions with police. Officers assured them that the issues would be addressed through continued patrols and community engagement.  Police say the weekly operations are intended to build trust, identify community concerns and improve public safety.
