Along with delivering hit songs, Popcaan is known for his presence on social media, as he’s often times a jokester. Supporters got to see that side of the ‘Where we come from’ hitmaker on Wednesday, August 13 when he shared a screenshot of an exchange between him and an online troll in his Instagram Direct Messages.
The troll mentioned a rumoured breakup between the deejay and world renowned Jamaican beauty pageant contestant, Toni Ann Singh while also throwing shade on the latter in the process.
The message read, “Hey I’m your wife’s maid of honor, see you and Toni Ann Singh breakup but at least you got a new natural partner, she don’t ‘Singh’ though.”
She followed up by poking more fun as she asked the St Thomas native about color codes for a supposed wedding.
“Red and White good for bridesmaids?”
Popcaan who’s known for his clever clap backs, responded with some banter of his own as he stated that instead of the suggested colour scheme, the user should opt for purple and white.
The ‘Raving’ deejay responded, “I think purple and white would be awesome”
This resulted in the interaction being posted with Popcaan asking Toni Ann Singh to give an explanation for the interaction. Persons flocked to the comment section in amusement but the comment that stood out was that of the online troll who made light of the situation while stating she was bored.
She also joked about being ashamed after being exposed by Popcaan who posted the screenshot of the messages on his Instagram page and later deleted it.
