A 46-year-old man has appeared before a Master of the High Court charged with the murder of Jason Francis Hurdle, who was killed on August 2.
The TTPS in a statement issued today said Kevin Michael John, of Port-of-Spain, was charged when he appeared before Master Adia Mohammed on Wednesday. The matter was adjourned to October 24 for a status hearing.
Hurdle, 34, of Gonzales, was found lying motionless along Abercromby Street, Port-of-Spain, on August 2.
A suspect was arrested five days later, on August 7, by officers of the Port-of-Spain Task Force.
Investigations were led by ASP (Ag) Ramjag, Insp (Ag.) Stanisclaus, Insp (Ag) Seecharan and Insp (Ag) Ramsumair, all of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region One, with the assistance of other agencies.
Following advice from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Sabrina Dougdeen-Jaglal, PC Jaisumair of HBI Region One charged John on August 12.
