Powell ruled out for remainder of Pakistan series

LAUDERHILL, Florida (CMC):

WEST INDIES power hitter Rovman Powell has been sidelined with a wrist injury and will take no further part in the ongoing T20I series against Pakistan.

The 32-year-old did not feature in Thursday’s opener at Broward County Stadium, which the West Indies lost by 14 runs, and has been ruled out of the remaining two matches.

Powell hurt his wrist while attempting a catch in the fourth T20I against Australia in St Kitts on Tuesday and subsequently missed the fifth and final match of that series.

Powell, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, and Shimron Hetmyer were missing from the T20I squad that faced Pakistan in the first T20I in Fort Lauderdale, with the visitors running out 14-run victors. The second T20I took place last night.
