The Office of the Prime Minister has announced that His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, will pay a State Visit to Belize from February 1 to February 3. During his visit, President Ali is scheduled to address the opening of a new session of Parliament. As CARICOM’s Lead Head of Government for Agriculture, he will also engage with Belize’s productive sector as part of efforts to strengthen regional cooperation, investment, and trade. Several cooperation agreements are expected to be signed during the visit. President Ali will also hold bilateral meetings with Governor-General Dame Froyla T’zalam and Prime Minister John Briceño. The Office of the Prime Minister notes that Belize and Guyana share long-standing and robust bilateral relations, built on a shared commitment to regional solidarity, development, and integration.
