Prime Minister intervenes to end road blockage by bus operators

And while PM Briceno made no direct mention of the problems brewing in the transportation sector, he was the hero in this morning’s impasse on the Philip Goldson Highway.  It was the prime minister’s intervention that had the independent bus operators clear the blockade set up at around six this morning.  Amid the PM’s intervention, many began asking how did we get to this point; before we recap, however, we’ll take you to Belmopan where government and operators arrived at a resolution after a week of mounting tension. The formalization of that agreement happened by way of an afternoon meeting in Belmopan, led by Minister of Transportation Dr. Louis Zabaneh.  We join our Belmopan Correspondent LJay Wade for the details of that meeting.
