Reggae artiste Principle is happy with the response to his new single titled ' Visa'.

The song, which was produced by King Shiloh Records CEO Bertram Burgher, was released along with a video in April.

"I am pleased with the response to my new single. It's getting a lot of support from DJs in Jamaica, the US, Europe, England and Africa. I am grateful to all the people who are supporting my music," said the artiste.

The Rastafarian singer, who hails from Rock Hall, St Andrew, said he wrote Visa after having a conversation with some friends about the opportunities that come with having a successful music career.

"For many Jamaican youth, a successful music career is the only ticket out of poverty. That's why I say music is like a visa in my song because for many of us who come from humble beginnings, it's the only source of upward social mobility," said Principle. He also revealed that he plans to release a follow-up single titled Jamaica Nice before the end of August.

"This song is an expression of my undying love for Jamaica. I am proud to be Jamaican, and no matter what, I will always love my country," he said.

Principle, given name Germaine Bernard, launched his career in 2020. Since then, he has recorded and released several reggae singles, including Spread A Little Love, Jah Is Ruler, and Baby I Really Love You.
