Producer Tasjay Smith recently joined forces with Canadian musician Ifield Joseph to create a new version of the popular '2 Times' rhythm.

"Before the emergence of the 2 Times rhythm, I've never witnessed so much drama and controversy surrounding a reggae rhythm. We've seen this kind of thing happen with dancehall rhythms over the years, but not reggae. So, Ifield and I decided to do a new version of the rhythm that transcends all the negativity," said the producer.

Smith's version of the rhythm, which is titled '2 Time 2', features songs from US-based reggae singer Rad Dixon ( Nah Trust) and Canada-based reggae singers Horace Martin ( Married Man), Tony Anthony ( Precious Lord) and Esdras IS-RA-EL, formerly known as Frankie Wilmott ( I Love You).

"I feel proud about the songs that we've produced on this rhythm. Every song carries positive messages that will resonate with people from different walks of life," said Smith.

He expressed confidence that the four-song project, which was released on his Tasjay Productions imprint on August 8, will be a huge success.

"Over the years, the name Tasjay Productions has become synonymous with good quality reggae music, and this is another project that reggae music lovers all over the world will appreciate," he said.

Smith also revealed that he's working on several new projects, including an album for Rad Dixon.

"This project will be completed and ready for release early next year. I am also working on some other rhythm projects that I plan to release soon."
