Opposition spokesman on housing, Professor Floyd Morris, says the strength of the People’s National Party is perhaps the reason behind the prime minister’s hesitance to call the general elections.
Professor Morris made the claim while addressing comrades at a divisional conference in Rae Town, central Kingston on Sunday.
The general elections are constitutionally due by the end of September.
Professor Morris says whichever date Holness sets for the election, the Jamaica Labour Party will get a beating.
