Project Heads Promise Readiness for Sabina Park Test Match

The heads of projects for installation of the new scoreboard and lightening at Sabina Park are promising that all will be ready ahead of the historic day/night test match at Sabina Park starting on Saturday.

The West Indies and Australia are scheduled to meet in what will be the final game in their three match test series.

However there are concerns in some areas that with four days to go before the start of the game, the lights and the new scoreboard are not yet operational.

Spencer Whittingham who is Project Manager fr Citrad Limited whoi are in charge of the lights, told Nationwide Sports when we visited the facility on Tuesday, that they will deliver the well ahead of the game.

As it regards the scoreboard which was donated to Jamaica by the India government at a value of one million U.S dollars, Project lead Prabhat Rajput of Vulcan AIC of India, says the work is almost complete.

Meanwhile the West Indies and Australia teams were scheduled to arrive in the island late Tuesday are down to stage their first training sessions under lights on Thursday evening, two days before the start of the match.
