PSU Announces Nominees for National Executive Ahead of AGM

The Public Service Union (PSU) has announced the slate of nominees for its National Executive positions ahead of the 2025 Annual General Meeting. According to a recent circular, nominations have been finalized for six key roles for the 2025 to 2027 term.  Dean Flowers is running unopposed for the position of President. Also running on an uncontested slate are Cordelia Belezaire for Secretary General, Marika Zuniga for Councillor, and Sabrina Muschamp for Trustee. These candidates are guaranteed to be elected.  Elections will be held for two key positions, namely, the Second Vice President role which will see a race between Cynthia Villagrant and Shane Reneau; as well as the position of Assistant National Treasurer, for which members will choose between Emil Cordon and Emmanuel Yam.  Since Cordelia Belezaire’s election as Secretary General is uncontested, nominations will also be opened for the position of Assistant Secretary General.  The PSU’s Annual General Meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at 8am at the University of Belize, Jaguar Auditorium, in Belmopan. The Union is urging all members to participate in this important democratic process to help shape the future of their organization.
