In the first race on the track at the Racer's Grand Prix at the National Stadium, Barbados' Tia-Adana Belle won the women's 400m hurdles in a time of 55.74 seconds.
Belle narrowly beat out Jamaica's Sanique Walker, who crossed the line in 55.78 seconds.
USA's Bianca Stubler was third on the night, crossing the line in 56.52.
Walker had the advantage for the majority of the race, hurdling the final obstacle with a slight lead, but could not hold off the fast-finishing Barbadian who did just enough to beat her at the line.
