Rain wreaks havoc on rural U16, U19 basketball finals

Heavy rainfall forced the postponement of the ISSA Rural Schoolboy Basketball Under-16 and Under-19 finals at the Manchester High court yesterday. In the Under-16 final, defending champions Manchester High were set to face Herbert Morrison Technical High (HMTHS) in the decisive game of their best-of-three series. The Under-19 final has now been postponed for the second time due to inclement weather. Defending champions Manchester High were scheduled to tip off against Holmwood Technical, who are on the brink of elimination, with Manchester leading the series 1-0.
