This concert will mark a significant return to performing for Shyne, who has been living in his native Belize serving in the House of Representatives as the Opposition Leader, as well as a return to Flatbush, the adjoining neighborhood where he spent his formative years. This first ever headline performance since returning to the U.S. will feature special guests (to be announced) and highlight the evolution of the Grammy Award winning Rap legend-turned-political leader.

“It is surreal to return to the stage in the neighborhood where I grew up for a night of performances celebrating classic raw hip hop,” said Shyne.

Born in Southside Belize City and primarily raised in East Flatbush, Shyne began his rap career in the late 90s after being discovered by legendary hip-hop producer DJ Clark Kent, entertainment moguls Don Pooh & Manny Hailey.

After signing to Bad Boy Records, Shyne released the eponymous classic rap album that debuted at #2 and topped the charts with hits such as “Bad Boyz,” “Bonnie & Shyne” and “That’s Gangsta.” He also released the #1 classic godfather buried alive album in 2004.

Shyne overcame injustice and a wrongful conviction by dedicating his life to serving the people of Belize through philanthropy and the Mesopotamia seat in the House of Representatives becoming the first rapper to be elected to the House of Representatives ever.
