Jamaican referee, Daneon Parchment, says officiating in a FIFA World Cup final remains his career goal.
Parchment and Odette Hamilton are the Jamaicans selected by FIFA to officiate at the Paris Olympics this summer.
The pair are among 89 officials selected by the FIFA Referees Committee.
Parchment has officiated in five Gold Cup tournaments, including the inaugural Women’s Gold Cup.
He has refereed at the Olympic final and he was in the VAR room of the CONCACAF Nations League final.
Parchment says the 2026 World Cup should be a good opportunity for him to realise his dream.
Parchment, who recently received his FIFA badge, is encouraging other Jamaicans to register to be referees.
